During this course, we will perform a series of creative exercises as a means of introducing the course attendee to techniques and practice of digital textile surface design.
The course involves various digital technologies to create designs and patterns, and then process them into output files which can be used in different methods of fabric printing and garment manufacturing.

A laptop to bring to class will be required.Please note, you have to be fully computer literate and able to install software, navigate your way around storing files, creating folders etc. We unfortunately do not have time during the course to teach these basics.
You should budget to spend at least 10 hours per week at home doing tasks related to the software and digital environment we will use to execute the tasks related to creating your fabric designs.
